WASTAC has accumulated a multi-terrabyte satellite data archive, possibly one of the oldest and most complete collections of its kind in Australia.  However most of the data is not available either online or as conveniently indexed products.  Additionally, iVEC aims to be the super-computing research and development hub of Western Australia, possessing extensive processing and storage resources.  Our goal is to migrate the WASTAC archive to an online environment for enhanced data discovery, redistribution and repurposing.

While storing documentation for the above project, it is hoped that this portal will also facilitate knowledge transfer between locally interested parties within the domain of satellite remote sensing.
